White goods — washing machines, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and small appliances — increasingly use LEDs for control panel backlighting, illuminated touch controls, status and mode indicators, and small displays. As appliance interfaces have moved from mechanical dials to backlit and touch surfaces, the color and evenness of that lighting has become part of the product's look and usability.
The control panel is the part of the appliance the user interacts with every day. A mode indicator that reads the wrong color, or a backlit panel with a dim patch, can undermine the perceived quality of an otherwise finished product. Consistency across the run and across the range is what makes the product feel well-made.
Feasa products can test these control boards at multiple points throughout the production process, reading a full control panel in seconds. Testing across a run rather than a sample helps keep backlighting and indicators consistent from one appliance to the next. Status and mode indicators are typically handled by the Functional LED Analyser, RGB indicators by the RGB LED Analyser, backlit and etched control panels by the Low Light LED Analyser, and appliance displays by the Display Analyser.
Find defects before customers do
A fault found at build costs far less than a return, recall or field repair
Protect brand reputation
A lighting defect that reaches the field reflects directly on the brand
Product consistency
Output should look the same from one unit to the next, and across a product range
Compliance
Specified and regulated products benefit from a documented result behind every unit
Objective, repeatable results
A measured value removes the subjectivity of a visual inspection
Keep pace with production
Fast, multichannel testing fits the line without becoming a bottleneck
Color & intensity testing
Confirms LEDs match one another and stay consistent from one unit to the next
CCT & chromaticity measurement
Reports color temperature and CIE coordinates for every LED
Fast test times
Every LED read in a single cycle, in-line or off-line
Low-light measurement
Reliable readings on dim, backlit and etched surfaces
Scalable multichannel testing
Up to 20 channels per analyser, daisy-chained for larger boards
Display & panel luminance
Measures luminance and chromaticity on illuminated displays and panels

Common appliance lighting test scenarios
A closer look at how Feasa systems are applied to specific appliance lighting measurement challenges.
Testing illuminated displays
The Display Analyser outputs a luminance value at each measured point via fibre-optic heads placed over the display.
Users spot-check several points across the panel. Values are output for the customer's evenness and white-point checks.
Verifying mode and status indicators
Each indicator is captured for (x,y), dominant wavelength and intensity in a single acquisition.
Values are output per unit. The customer compares against their own limits.
